FAQ

The questions people actually ask.

Pool buying gets complicated quickly. Start here, then tell us where you are and we’ll help work out what comes next.

What exactly is a DIPP63?

A DIPP63 is a fully tiled, precast concrete plunge pool with a 6 m × 3 m shell. It is manufactured before delivery and craned into a prepared site rather than being formed, waterproofed and tiled in your backyard.

How big is the DIPP63?

The shell is 6 m long × 3 m wide × 1.6 m high. Its dry weight is approximately 12.7 tonnes.

Is it a concrete pool?

Yes. The DIPP63 is a precast concrete pool and is fully tiled before delivery.

Is the pool really fully tiled?

Yes. The internal finish is fully tiled before the pool arrives. Tile choices can be discussed as part of your order.

What coping can I choose?

Current DIPP63 options include granite, limestone, travertine and porcelain coping.

Can I add heating or automation?

Yes. Heating and automation are available as optional extras.

How long does installation take?

Once the site is properly prepared and the crane is booked, the physical pool placement can happen very quickly. Queensland Plunge Pools says many installations are completed in one to two days after site preparation. Your overall project time also depends on approvals, excavation, access, services and surrounding works.

Do you deliver outside Brisbane?

Yes. DIPP63 pools can be supplied across Australia. Tell us your suburb and postcode and we’ll work out the practical delivery and installer options for your location.

Can I use my own builder or landscaper?

Potentially, yes. The right arrangement depends on your location, licensing and project requirements. If you already have a builder or landscaper ready, tell us when you enquire.

What if I don’t have a builder?

Tell us where you are. DIPP is powered by Queensland Plunge Pools and can help work through available installer options.

Will it fit in a small backyard?

The 6 × 3 m footprint suits many suburban blocks, but the bigger question is often access. Crane access, setbacks, services and the final pool position all matter, so we check the site rather than guessing.

What access do you need?

The pool needs to be craned into position. Access requirements vary by property, crane position and obstacles. A virtual or site inspection helps establish what is practical.

Do I need council approval?

Pool approvals and compliant safety barriers are required, but the exact process varies by state, council and property. We can help identify what needs to be considered, while formal approvals remain part of your project responsibilities.

How much does a DIPP63 cost?

Total cost depends on location, access, site preparation, crane requirements, finishes and extras. Send us your postcode and timing and we can start with the configuration and costs that are relevant to your site.

Can I get a quote before a site visit?

We can start with your postcode and a few details about the property. For a reliable project figure, access and site conditions need to be understood.

How quickly can I get one?

Timing depends on current pool availability, your location and how quickly the site and approvals can be made ready. If you’re ready now, say so in the enquiry form so the team can prioritise the right next step.

Does the DIPP63 come with a warranty?

Yes! Every DIPP63 comes with a 10-year structural warranty, giving you extra peace of mind with your new pool.
